Power BI training for your team, live online on your own data
Power BI training works best when people practice on the reports they use every day. So our sessions use your own reports and data, and Monday's exercise becomes Tuesday's task. We plan tracks by role, from managers who read reports to admins who run the tenant. Every session runs live online, taught by one of our consultants.

Why does generic training rarely stick?
Most courses teach features with sample files about bicycle sales. Then people go back to their desks and cannot apply what they saw. The gap between the sample and their own data is too wide.
People remember what they use. For example, a finance analyst who learns CALCULATE by fixing a real month-end measure keeps that skill. A textbook example rarely has the same effect.
Real data also surfaces the real obstacles early. These include a messy date column, a gateway nobody manages or a workspace with too many owners. So the course fixes small problems while it teaches.

Power BI training tracks by role
Most teams mix these tracks, and the plan follows who needs what.
Report readers
Navigating apps, using slicers and drill-through, subscribing to pages and exporting safely.
Business analysts
Connecting sources in Power Query, shaping tables, building visuals and publishing to the right workspace.
Model builders
Star schemas, relationships, DAX measures, time intelligence and the habits that keep models fast.
Admins
Tenant settings, workspace roles, gateways, capacity monitoring, sensitivity labels and usage metrics.
Report designers
Layout, color, accessibility and page structure that help a busy reader find the answer.
Team leads
Reading usage data, building a champion network and deciding which reports to endorse.
How do live online sessions work?
Each session runs over video, with screen sharing and hands-on labs. Learners work in Power BI Desktop on their own machines while the trainer watches and helps. Questions are welcome throughout, not only at the end.
Before the first session, we review a sample of your reports and sources. Together we agree which ones are safe for exercises. Where needed, we prepare a masked extract instead of live data.
We work inside your tenant through accounts you control and do not copy data to our own systems. Also, recordings are available when you want them, so absent learners can catch up.
Planning Power BI training with your team
A short planning cycle keeps the course on the skills your team lacks.
Skills conversation
First, a few learners and their managers describe their tools, confidence and the reports they must own.
Course plan
You receive a written plan with tracks, topics and the data each exercise uses, for your approval.
Live online delivery
Sessions run with hands-on labs, questions throughout and recordings where you want them.
Follow-up support
Learners keep the reference guides, and optional office hours help them apply the skills on live work.
What each learner keeps after the course
Materials are written for your environment, not copied from a public syllabus.
- A reference guide for their track
- Completed exercise files built on your data
- A checklist for publishing and sharing reports
- Common DAX patterns with worked examples
- Recordings of live sessions, if agreed
- A contact route for follow-up questions
Training, adoption and reporting on learning
Training is one part of wider power bi adoption. Champions, clear workspace rules and endorsed reports all help new skills stick. Therefore we can link the course to a simple adoption plan.
This page covers teaching people to use Power BI. Perhaps you need to report on your own learning programs instead. Then a power bi training dashboard tracks enrollments, completions and compliance training. That is a reporting build, not a course.
Power BI training questions
Is the Power BI training remote?
Yes. Every session runs live online, so people in different offices can join from their own desks. Learners need Power BI Desktop and a stable connection. Because the trainer can see each screen when shared, help stays as direct as it would be in a classroom.
Does the course prepare people for the Power BI exam?
Our courses focus on practical skills with your own data rather than exam drills. However, the modeling and DAX tracks cover much of the ground in the Microsoft PL-300 exam. We can also point learners to the free official materials on Microsoft Learn.
What if our Power BI users have very different skill levels?
That is normal. We split learners into tracks by role and experience, so beginners are not rushed. Meanwhile, experienced analysts move on to harder material. A short skills check before the course helps place each person in the right track.
Can Power BI training be combined with a build project?
Yes, and it often works well. Your analysts learn on the model and dashboards we build for you. As a result, they can maintain the work with confidence after handover, without calling us for every small change. The exercises then double as documentation for the build.
How do we plan a course?
Book a free 30-minute assessment. One of our consultants replies within 2 hours and asks about your team, tools and goals. Then you receive a written quote with a fixed scope and a course plan for your approval. Nothing is scheduled until you approve the plan.
