Power BI support services for the day a report breaks
Power BI support services give a team someone to call when a refresh fails, a number looks wrong or a user cannot open a report. Most companies have no spare specialist for those moments, so small faults linger for weeks. One of our consultants looks into each request inside your own tenant, fixes the cause and notes what changed.

What do Power BI support services cover?
Reports do not stay still after launch. A source system adds a column, a password expires, or a colleague renames a table. Then the morning refresh fails, and the sales meeting starts with old numbers.
Support picks up those problems as they appear. We read the error, trace it to the source and repair it. After that we write a short note, so the same fault takes less time if it returns.
Small changes also belong here. For example, a manager may want a new slicer, a changed target or one more page. Because we already know your model, such requests move quickly and do not need a new project each time. Support stays reactive by design. Scheduled checks belong to Power BI monitoring services, settings and access belong to Power BI administration services, and Power BI managed services combine both with a monthly review.

Typical Power BI support requests, from refresh to access
These six request types cover most everyday faults.
Refresh failures
We check the gateway, credentials and source changes, then restart the schedule once the cause is clear.
Wrong or missing numbers
A measure or a relationship usually sits behind the gap. We compare against the source system and correct the logic.
Access problems
Someone cannot open an app, or sees too much. We review workspace roles and security rules and put them right.
Slow pages
When a page crawls, we measure each visual first. Then we tune the formulas or the model instead of guessing.
Small report changes
New columns, renamed labels and extra filters go live after a quick review, so your reports keep pace with the business.
Questions from authors
Your analysts can also ask how to approach a task. A short call often saves them a day of trial and error.
Why keep a specialist on call instead of hiring one?
A full-time specialist makes sense for a large reporting estate. However, many companies have a handful of models and a few dozen reports. That workload is real, but it does not fill a working week.
So the task falls to whoever built the first report. That person has another job, and reporting issues wait until they find a free hour. When they leave the company, the knowledge goes with them.
An outside team covers that gap. You get expert help when something breaks, and the notes from each request build a record of how your setup works. As a result, the reports no longer depend on one person's memory. For example, a broken Power BI help desk dashboard gets fixed without waiting for a project slot.
When Power BI support services make sense
A support arrangement fits best when several of these describe your situation.
- One analyst holds all the knowledge
- Refresh errors go unnoticed for days
- Small change requests pile up
- The original builder has moved on
- Leaders have stopped trusting a report
- IT has no reporting specialist
How our Power BI support services start
Getting set up takes four plain steps, and none of them needs a long contract talk.
Free assessment call
In thirty minutes we hear what you run today and what tends to go wrong, so we can judge the fit honestly.
Written scope
Then you receive a quote that states what the arrangement covers, how you raise a request and what stays outside it.
Access and handover
Next we get a guest account in your tenant and review the models, because good support starts with knowing the setup.
Requests and review
After that you send requests as they arise. A regular review lists what we fixed and what we suggest to prevent repeats.
Questions about outside help for reporting issues
How fast do you respond to a Power BI support request?
We reply within 2 hours. That first reply confirms we have the request and often includes a first finding. How long a fix takes then depends on the cause. For example, an expired credential is quick to renew, while a changed source table may need a model update and a test.
Can you support Power BI reports that another firm built?
Yes. Reports built by another firm or a former colleague are normal territory. We begin with a review of the model and the refresh setup, so we understand the design choices before we touch anything. If we find a serious weakness, we tell you and explain the options, but the decision stays with you.
Is this different from Microsoft's own Power BI support?
Yes. Microsoft handles faults in the product and the service itself. We are independent of Microsoft and look after your content: your models, formulas, reports and refresh schedules. So if the platform has an outage, Microsoft resolves it. If your measure returns a wrong total, that is where we come in.
Is Power BI support delivered remotely?
Yes. All work is remote. Since everything sits in your own Microsoft tenant, a guest account and a Teams call are enough. We work through accounts you control and do not copy data to our own systems. You can reach us by phone at (480) 485-7373 when a written request is too slow.
What happens if a Power BI support request needs a larger change?
A large change, such as a new model or a new set of reports, goes beyond routine support. In that case we describe it in a separate written quote, so the ongoing arrangement stays predictable. You then decide whether to go ahead, postpone it or handle it with your own team instead.
